To do this, you must go to the prefecture in your locality to complete a number of formalities. And to pass this exam, you must rigorously follow a taxi training course. If you pass this exam, you will receive a business card after three months. It will show you the departments in which you can work.
When you start out in this profession, you will have to undergo a further five years of training. At the end of this training you will receive your professional taxi card, which is valid for five years.
You must also obtain a parking card to become a private taxi driver. This card is also called a taxi plate or a licence. It can be obtained by buying or renting.
